Two operators. One long-term plan.
WNY Operators Group exists because Chad and I believe there's a better way for a business owner to step back from what they built. Not through a broker. Not through a financial buyer who'll flip it in three years. Through a direct conversation with people who actually want to own and run it.
Why we started this.
Between the two of us, we've spent decades building, operating, and growing businesses in Western New York. We've hired people, served customers, made payroll, and fixed more problems than we can count.
Along the way, we kept noticing the same thing: great small businesses — strong reputations, loyal customers, good teams — whose owners were quietly wondering what comes next. And too often, the only path they could see was through a broker, a listing, and a process that felt impersonal.
We started WNY Operators Group to offer something different. A direct conversation. A serious buyer. A plan to keep what works and build on it. We're not here to strip a business down or flip it. We're here to own it, run it, and make it better over time.

Pleased to Meet You.
I've been building and running businesses in Western New York for more than twenty years. I founded Pointman, a field-service software platform I grew from zero to nearly 1,500 HVAC, plumbing, and electrical contractors across the US and Canada before it was acquired by ServiceTitan. I also co-founded and sold Field Nimble, another field service platform, to Pointman.
More recently, I co-founded Pattern RevOps, which helps residential and commercial service businesses improve their prospecting and operations. I also co-own The Forge, a functional strength and conditioning gym I bought, relocated, and rebranded in Clarence. That acquisition is a good example of how I think about buying a business: find something with real value, improve what needs improving, and build a community around it.
I hold an MBA and a BS in Corporate Media from the University at Buffalo. I'm a father and a Western New York native who built his career here by choice.

I grew up in the greater Rochester area, went to SUNY Fredonia, and have spent my entire career in Western New York. I live with my family in East Amherst. This is home, and it's where I want to build.
I've spent most of my career in sales and partnerships roles where my job was to understand how businesses work from the inside out. I built partner ecosystems, ran large client portfolios, and worked across sales, product, and operations at companies like Paychex and RevSpring. What I'm best at is building scalable sales motions and crafting customer experiences that keep people coming back.
I've never been just a W-2 guy, though. I launched and built a party, entertainment, and photo booth rental business serving customers across WNY and Southern Ontario. I've been a real estate and land investor for years, doing fix-and-flips and rentals. Plenty of scar tissue and plenty of great stories from both.
I also founded Fluttering Wings Foundation, a nonprofit serving the Buffalo-Niagara community. Between the businesses I've built, the deals I've done, and the customer experiences I've designed, I know what a good small business looks like, and I know what it takes to make one better.

Why we prefer direct conversations.
Brokers can be great. They do a lot of the early legwork, validating revenue, packaging the business, putting together a CIM. We respect that work, and we're happy to work with brokers when that's the situation.
That said, after 25+ years of building and buying businesses, we know how much critical information lives in the owner's head. Things that don't show up in a CIM. The real story behind the numbers, the team dynamics, the customer relationships, the stuff you only learn by talking to the person who built it. When possible, we prefer to go straight to the source.
Direct conversations also give you a chance to get to know us. Who we are, how we think, what we'd actually do with the business. That part matters, and it's hard to get through a middleman.
Whether you come to us directly or through a broker, the conversation is confidential and there's no pressure. We just find that the best conversations happen when we're talking to each other.
The team stays.
The people who show up every day are the backbone of a service business. We plan to keep them, support them, and invest in them. We're not coming in to replace anyone.
The customers are taken care of.
Your customers chose your business for a reason. We take that trust seriously and work to maintain the relationships and reputation you spent years building.
The reputation is protected.
In a local service business, reputation is everything. We don't take shortcuts that put it at risk. We build on it.
Ready to have a real conversation?
If you're thinking about what comes next for your business, we'd like to hear about it. No pressure. No obligation. Just an honest conversation.
